Robert R. Prendergast, age 83, longtime resident of Oak Park, passed away February 26, 2014. Beloved husband of Margaret "Peggy", nee Crane; loving father of Karen (Peter) Krochmolny; Kevin, Bobby and Nora Prendergast; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his siblings Marge McKay, Denise Burke, Jack Prendergast and Bill Prendergast and a fond companion to his devoted guide dog Nickle. Family and friends will gather Saturday March 15, 2014 at Ascension Catholic Church, 808 S East Ave, Oak Park, IL 60304, for visitation from 12 PM until the beginning of a 1 PM Memorial Mass. Military Honors will be accorded immediately following the Mass, outside of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Foundation Fighting Blindness, P.O.
