Ruth Marie Wheeler

Ruth M. Wheeler, 95, of Naperville, Illinois, formerly of Wheaton, Illinois, passed away October 7, 2021. She was born May 6, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. Ruth was the wife for over 68 years of Paul Wheeler, who preceded her in death.

She loved music of all kinds and was an accomplished pianist. She volunteered at Marionjoy Rehabilitation Center in Wheaton, Illinois and a local food pantry in the Wheaton area. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son Scott. She is survived by sons Glenn (Deborah), Keith (Maureen); 4 grandchildren Erin (Jason), Jacob, Nicholas, Samantha; 1 great grand-child Juniper.

Visitation will be held October 13, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, Illinois 60130, to be followed immediately by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, located at the same address. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
