Shirley Mae Dean

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Shirley Dean.

Nothing meant more to Shirley than her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren: Harold, father of Bradley; Richard and his wife, Sucha, parents of Rachel; and Cindy and her husband, Michael, parents of Mike (wife Amanda, children Autumn and Charlotte), Tyler, Bryana, and Angel (children Hailey, Aiden, and Giovanni).

For many years, Shirley served as a crossing guard at local elementary schools, faithfully helping countless children cross safely each day. In that steady presence, she became an extra mom to many—an abiding role so meaningful that many continued to call her “mom” well into adulthood. Later, she worked at Jewel, where coworkers and customers alike came to regard her as extended family. Through simple, consistent kindness and care, she made a difference in more lives than she ever realized, and the love she shared will continue to live on through those she touched.

She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
