Shirley Louise Sandkam

Preceded in death by her parents, Harriet and Floyd J. Sandkam of Oak Park; her siblings Dorothy (Clarence) Benware, Floyd M. (Margaret) Sandkam, Robert (Frances) Sandkam, Betty (Alvin) Koch, and Audrey Sandkam; and her dear friend, Marilyn Leisge.

Shirley fondly recalled her many friends from her employment at Henry Paulson & Co (wholesale jewelry); Pepsodent Division, Lever Bros. Co.; Elrick & Lavidge, Inc (Marketing Research); and the American Marketing Association. A devote Evangelical Christian, Shirley cherished her friends from the Cicero Bible Church, Moody’s Bible Institute, and missionaries around the globe. Shirley was also very fond of her many friends among the co-residents and staff of Fairview Village/Oak Trace.

She is survived by her special niece, Sherryl Aldridge; good friend and caregiver, Eugennie Pascual Dela Cruz; and by many, many nieces and nephews of several generations.

In lieu of flowers, Shirley preferred donations to the Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago, Illinois. A memorial will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Forest Park, Illinois on December 19, 2021 at noon.
