Thomas Schulze, age 72, of Oak Park passed away on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019. Born Feb. 10, 1947, he lived in Oak Park his entire life, with the exception of when he served on the USS Enterprise while in the Navy. After the service, he attended Wright Jr. College, transferred to Univ. of Illinois, Chicago, and graduated with an Engineering degree. Tommy had several hobbies and interests that kept him busy. His quest for knowledge was admirable and evident with the hundreds of books in his home collection. He worked at Burke Audio-Visual Service, Industrial Filters, and the American Legion Post #256-which became his home away from home. He was an excellent golfer and enjoyed playing often with his family and friends. Another sport he enjoyed was fishing, especially the trips up north to Jansen Eagle River Resort and always a favorite, Washington Island. We are so glad he was in good health to see the Cubs win the 2016 World Series! Dear brother of Judy (Bill) Burke, Eileen (Rich) Lannon, Marion (Dave) Boley, Jim (Janet), Ann (Dan) DeCleene, Michael, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews, and dear friend to his extended family at the American Legion Post. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and June, and brothers Dan, Mark, and Paul (Joanne). Visitation, Tues, April 30th, 3:00-8:00pm, Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W. Cermak Rd, Forest Park, Il
