Virginia Marie Cooper

Virginia Marie Fabian Cooper was born on May 22, 1963 to the union of Joseph N Fabian and Euphemia Ortega Fabian. Virginia Marie Cooper, departed this life on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.

Virginia was affectionately called Gina. Gina was a member of St. Eulalia Catholic Church, 1852 S. 9th Ave., Maywood, IL 60153. Virginia was educated in the public school system.

In 1981, she graduated from Richards Vocational High School with a degree as a licensed practical nurse.

After graduating, Virginia became employed at the Cenacle Retreat and Conference Center in Chicago, IL. She worked for Rush Anchor Medical Group, Oak Park, IL and Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.

Virginia had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and she continued her education at the city of Chicago colleges. She earned many awards for excellence and… Virginia was an honor student who continued learning her entire adult life.

On March 9, 1985, she married the love of her life, Danny Cooper. To this union, one son was born, Danny Cooper, Jr.

Virginia was preceded in death by both her parents. Joseph N. Fabian and Euphemia Fabian; and two brothers Albert and Thomas Fabian.

Virginia leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Danny Cooper, Sr., Broadview, IL; her son Danny Cooper, Jr., one brother Stephen Fabian, Chicago, IL; two sisters Monica Fabian, Chicago, IL and Cecilia Fabian, Davenport, IA; two brother-in laws Edward McWane, Fergus Falls, MN and Nello Cooper, Sr., Fairbanks, AK and one sister-in-law, Cathy Cooper, Rockford, IL. And a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, special cousins and special lifelong friends.

An evening visitation for Virginia will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, IL 60130. A morning wake will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 10:00 am; funeral service to follow in the chapel from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Forest Park, IL.
