She was born in Wildwood, NJ to the late Harry G. Paulson and Josephine Paulson, and grew up in Millville, NJ.
She graduated from Millville Senior High School at the age of 16 and worked for a few years before she was married in 1951.
In the early 60’s, she went to work for the U S Federal Government as a Census Taker until her retirement in the mid 90’s.
She married Charles H. Hoffman in 1973 and lived in Blackwood, NJ and Audubon, NJ before settling in Port St. Lucie, FL after retirement.
She was an avid reader, loved doing crossword puzzles, dancing the night away, travel, boating and spending time with her family.
Dona will be sadly missed by her husband, Charles H. Hoffman of 48 years; three daughters, Paula A. Austin (Ken), Dona M. Veight (Joseph), LouAnn Pizzo (Tony) and three sons, Charles L. Totoro, Louis J. Totoro and Michael S. Totoro (Mary); eight grandchildren, Christopher C. Cadieux (Jenn), Samantha L. Halter (Paul), Dona M. Pizzo, Ashlee C. Austin-Ketner (Kevin), Charles R. Totoro, Alexander L. Totoro, Rachel N. Totoro and Sara J. Reed (Tim); two step-grandchildren Joseph J. Veight and Cara M. Mora; eight great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services be on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Dignity Memorial-Aycock Funeral Home on US Hwy 1, Fort Pierce, FL.
Family and friends will be received 10:30AM at the above facility. Interment will take place at the Hillcrest Cemetery Mausoleum immediately following.
