AGUSTIN "AUGIE" GONZALEZ, 43, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, after a four-year battle with cancer. He graduated from Warsaw High School and St. Francis College. He was an independent insurance agent, formerly employed with American Family Insurance, Waterfield Mortgage and Lincoln Life. He loved soccer and was a respected referee throughout the state. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Kim (nee: Teter); children, Alex, Nico and Sofia; mother, Juanita; brothers, Mario and Aristeo Gonzalez and Jose Castillo; sisters, Clara Ramirez and Aurelia Rodriguez; and many nieces and nephews. Service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior at the church. Calling also from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with Prayer Vigil at 8:30 p.m. Memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, Bishop Dwenger Catholic High School or St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School.
