

ANDREW VANDERMOTTEN, 46, of Leo, died Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Avon Hospice House, Naples, Fla. Born April 11, 1964, in Fort Wayne, he was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was Director of Operations at Arthrex, Inc., Naples, Fla. Formerly he had also been Director of Operations at Paragon, Warsaw. Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Kim; son, Kyle Vandermotten at home; twin daughters, Kelsey and Kaley Vandermotten, both at home; father and step mother, Roderick and Carol Vandermotten of Fort Wayne; sisters, Teresa (Kevin) Carr of Glasgow, Scotland and Kathleen (Chester) Tulley of New Haven; brother, Roderick J. (Lori) Vandermotten of New Haven; brother-in-law, Kirk (Betsy) Fitzgerald of Fort Wayne; nieces and nephews; and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Vandermotten, in 1994. Memorial service is 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. A reception celebrating life following the service will be held at Leo American Legion. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation taking place in Florida. Preferred memorials to Clearwater Marine Aquarium Rescue or Children's Educational Fund.
