Arlene M. (Koczor) Metel

Arlene M. (Koczor) Metel, 78, of Fort Wayne, Indiana left this world Wednesday, June 14, 2023, surrounded by her family, to reunite with her heavenly family. She was born in Chicago on July 2, 1944 to Polish parents, the late Alex and Mildred Koczor. Arlene was a loving wife, mother, and a very proud grandmother. She loved to laugh and spend time with her family and friends. She loved music and playing card games, but loved her grandkids more than anything. She retired from Memorial Park Middle School where she loved working with a group called “The Harpers.” She was a long-time member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. Surviving are her husband of 55 years Albert; her sons, Nick (Laurie) and Tim (Jennifer); grandchildren that she dearly loved, Jacob, Landon, Reagan, Spencer, Alli, and Staci; and great grandson, Grayson. Also survived by brothers, Ron (Connie) Koczor and Terry (Alice) Koczor; sister, Bonnie (Lee) Pauley; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was also preceded in death by infant son Jeff, whom she will be met by in heaven. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Avenue, Fort Wayne with vistiaton one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne.
