Mr. Pinnow had a positive impact on my life in many ways as a 5th grade teacher, youth Bible study leader, and high school geography teacher--not to mention his example as a loving husband and father. It took me more than half my life before I understood what he did for me in grade school. He kept me from being carried away by negative peer influence at a critical time. I believe I will be eternally grateful. 

My sympathy to the entire Pinnow family. I share in your loss. 

To me, as a fifth grade student of his in 1956 at St. Paul's, he was of course, "Mr. Pinnow." I can remember the year for a simple reason, he was a baseball fan and back in those days the World Series was played in the afternoon, during the school day in other words. But in class that day in October we got to hear Don Larsen's perfect game. How many fifth graders can say that?
But I also remember the end of that school year when Mr. Pinnow took several of us to visit Chicago as an end-of-the-school-year treat. I can't remember whether I'd been to Chicago before, but he took us to some of the top sights. Shedd Aquarium and the Museum of Science and Industry I remember for sure more than six decades later. 

So I salute him for a life well lived in service of the hundreds of students he taught and inspired! My thoughts are with you in your grief, but please remember what he meant to so many of us.

Mr. Pinnow (as he has always been known to me) was such a good man.  My first job was coaching Wildcat Baseball and Mr. Pinnow was essentially one of my first bosses and he expected that you do things the right way.  If you were falling short of that expectation,  he would let you know but always in a soft spoken and kind manner.    As a teacher and a coach Mr. Pinnow had a positive impact on so many lives.

I loved Art as a teacher, Wildcat baseball coach and mentor.  So thankful to God for the many talents and humble nature of Christ with which He blessed Art to abundantly share with us.  So much good fruit sprang from the life he lived. May the peace he now knows so completely be a comfort to Esther and family and all of us who loved him.

My deepest condolences to the Pinnows. I knew Mr. and Mrs. Pinnow as I grew up at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ft. Wayne. Mrs. Pinnow was my kindergarten teacher.

My sympathies and prayers for the family.  Art was a dear friend of my father, Norm Kramer. Norm was involved with the wildcat baseball ⚾ program for years, and like Art,  a local baseball ⚾ hall of fame member.
He will be missed. A man of character and integrity, he made a difference in the lives of many people, especially youth. My family knew him thru sports.
Sorry to hear of his passing. God bless you all.  Our family spoke highly of him, with deep respect and honor. He will be remembered.

I am honored with memory as I was member of the faculty at CLHS teaching with Mr Pinnow. I learned him to be a Christian, and a professional in the teaching profession. He was a quite person, full of wisdom. 

Mr. Pinnow was my 5th grade teacher at St. Paul’s Lutheran School, in 1952. Each time I saw him on return visits to St. Paul’s, he recognized me, and greeted me warmly. God’s blessings to the Pinnow family at this difficult time.

My condolences to the Pinnow family. Mr. Pinnow was my 5th grade teacher at St. Paul's, and coach. He was a kind man, caring for each of his students. I am thankful that I had Mr. Pinnow in my life at such an early age. He was a wonderful Christian model for us and remained committed to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, throughout his blessed life.

Mr. Pinnow was my sociology teacher at Concordia Lutheran High School.   We had to do a project where we volunteered at a non-for profit organization and he is the reason I became interested in healthcare. In later years he volunteered where I worked at Heritage Park and I would always tell him, you are the reason I am here.  He was a kind,  thoughtful, caring individual and I will never forget him!   

A history teacher who pushed me to do better in math and encouraged student volunteer efforts.  Godspeed, Mr. Pinnow.

A truly outstanding teacher and Christian  role model. He was my 5th grade teacher at St. Paul's and had a tremendous knowledge of history and geography. My condolences to the Pinnow family. We'll see you in Heaven.

I remember Mr Pinnow as a sweet and kind teacher.  My sympathy and prayers for Cindy and the rest of the family.  May God grant you strength during this difficult time. 

I will miss his smiling face as he would greet me when he ushered at Saint Pauls. We will see him again when we all get to Heaven and see our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!!!!!!
