

Barbara Jean "Barb" Netterville, 85, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026. She was born on March 31, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Robert William Hubbard and Bernice (Roberts) Riggins. On August 4, 1960, Barb married her high school sweetheart, the late Elvis E. Netterville, who preceded her in passing on July 18, 2020. Barbara worked at and retired as a claims adjuster from North American Van Lines. Barb was a longtime and faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. She served as a Sunday School Superintendent for many years and was very active in Bethlehem's mission committees and community outreach as well as the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission. In her free time, she enjoyed reading all varieties of books as well as traveling the world. Friends and family were very important to Barb as well, her social groups helped her develop many lasting bonds. Surviving family include her children, Elvis Netterville, Jr., of Indianapolis, Indiana, Yvonne (Rodney) Carter of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Michael (Angie) Netterville, of Fort Wayne; beloved grandchildren, Anthony (Maya) Carter of Bethlehem and Jasmine (Adam) Fenstermaker, both of Bethlehem; step-grandchildren, Kelsey (Justin) Helsper of Golden, Colorado and Noah (Adrienne) Balsmeyer, of Denver, Colorado; step-great grandchildren, Griffin, Archie, and Luna of Golden; siblings, Nancy Robinson, Craig Riggins, and Jimmy Hubbard; in-laws, Vivian (Robert) House, Doc (Bernice) Netterville, LeRoy (Norma) Netterville, and Lawrence (Cheryl) Netterville, all of St. Louis, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Barb was preceded in passing by her siblings, Yvonne McDaniel and Robert Hubbard. A funeral service will be 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 South Anthony Boulevard, Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Barb's burial will follow services at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Donations may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, in her memory.
