Barrett Michael Mossbarger, 20 months, earned his angel wings on January 22, 2017 peacefully at home in his loving father’s arms surrounded by family. Born on May 30, 2015, in Ft. Wayne, though Barrett's time here on earth was far too short and bittersweet he will stay in our hearts forever. He will be remembered for his sparkling blues, winning smile and his contagious laugh. Barrett will be greatly missed but his strong will for life will be an inspiration to all who were blessed by his presence. He is survived by his father, Curtis Mossbarger; mother, Brianna Pence; sister, Natalie Messenger; paternal grandmother, Rose Mossbarger; paternal grandfather, Michael (Brenda) Mossbarger; and aunt, Stacy Mossbarger; maternal grandparents, Phil and Laura Pence; and uncle, Brandon Pence.
Calling will be held from 5 to 8pm, Thursday, January 26, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Visiting Nurse Hospice of Fort Wayne or to any local hospital. We wish to send a special Thanks to all who helped in Barrett's care and for all the prayers.
