Betty Jane Kunkel, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at Lutheran Life Villages. She was born on June 11, 1924 in Fort Wayne. Surviving are her daughters, Sandra J. (Edward) Diss of Fort Wayne, Nancy S. (Jim) Hall of Decatur, Deborah Kay Kjellin of Primm Springs, Tenn., and Judy C. (Dave) Brudi of Churubusco; son, Dennis A. (Amy) Kunkel of Georgetown, Ind; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren L. Kunkel; and brother, Robert Faudree. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at Lutheran Life Villiages Chapel, 6701 South Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred Memorials to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church-Bingen Youth Group.
