Carol Sue Glusenkamp, 88, of rural Markle, Indiana, passed on Friday, October 16, 2026. She was born on September 7, 1938, in Montpelier, Indiana, a daughter of the late Roy and Emma (Cook) Lautzenheiser. Carol primarily worked is sales, working at locations like Nobbson Ladies Wear and Wolf & Dessauer. She also cared for the home and raised her family. She was a long-time member at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, arranging flowers, traveling, being outside, spending time with her family, and in her younger years, she enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband. Surviving family include her husband, Richard A. "Dick" Glusenkamp; daughter, Karen "Betsy" Glusenkamp; grandchildren, Savannah Jessie and Cash Jessie; and a host of additional family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her 12 siblings. A funeral service celebrating Carol's life will be 1:00 pm on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation two hours prior. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials in Carol's memory may be made to Riley Hospital for Children and the Wounded Warrior Project.
