Charles “Chuck” Vibbert passed away on the 16th of May, at the age of 62. He passed peacefully in his sleep at home surrounded by his daughter and family. Though diagnosed over a year ago with terminal cancer, Chuck decided to forgo traditional treatments and enjoy his remaining time with his family. Chuck took great pride in his military service and his last 18 years of sobriety.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents: Art Vibbert and Wanetta Debolt; wife Debbie; younger sister, Tammy Vibbert, and her son, Justin Vibbert.
He is survived by his daughter Crystal (Dave) Johnson; two grandchildren: Arrow Vibbert & Logan Johnson; three step children: Danielle Rothgeb, JeremyRothgeb & Philip Stump; remaining siblings: Ina Harris, Joe (Vera) Vibbert, Richard Vibbert, & Kelly (Danielle) Vibbert; many nieces & nephews, his favorite nieces being Meadow Vibbert & Adara Armey.
Services will be held at 3pm, Saturday May 21, at Hockmeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior.
