Born on January 21, 1954, in Lima, Ohio, Cheryl was the cherished daughter of the late Eugene and Jane Laudick. She graduated from St. John’s High School in Delphos, Ohio in 1972, carrying with her the kindness, strength, and warmth that defined her life.
Cheryl devoted her life to her family, first as a homemaker and later through her years at Scott’s Grocery and Hobby Lobby. She was known for her speed and accuracy at the register, but more importantly for her genuine kindness. Always greeting others with a smile and a conversation that left a lasting impression.
Her greatest joy was her family. Cheryl treasured every moment with her grandchildren; sleepovers, sporting events, and simply being together. She was their biggest fan. Each Mother’s Day, she looked forward to her Shutterfly photo albums, spending weeks admiring how much they had grown.
She found happiness at Marble Lake, enjoying boating, porch conversations, and time with loved ones. She cherished family cruises, holiday gatherings, and the traditions she created, including her famous taco salad. A devoted Ohio State fan, she never missed watching Script Ohio.
Despite many medical challenges, Cheryl faced life with courage, faith, and resilience. She was a devoted member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, David Fischer; her children, Ryan (Sara) Fischer, Nicole (John) Loesch, and Craig (Nicole) Fischer; her grandchildren, Nolan (Caitlyn) Fischer, Grace Fischer, Sydney Fischer, Benjamin Loesch, Mallory Fischer, Abigail Loesch, Andrew Loesch, and Hazel Fischer; and her siblings, Michael (Juliann) Laudick and Theresa (Tim) Carder.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A memorial mass will be scheduled.
