

COLLEEN ANN GRIFFITH, 85, of Fort Wayne, died in peace on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Parkview Hospital. Born Jan. 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Cleo Chaney. She was a resident of Saint Anne Home for the past 15 months. She married Lauren Griffith on June 2, 1951 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She worked as a secretary for Wayne Knitting Mill and was an antique dealer for over 40 years. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Tri Kappa Sorority, the Rosary Society and was a former member of St. Anne’s in Naples, Fla. Colleen is survived by her husband, F. Lauren Griffith; daughters, Gayle (Steve) Mann and Kimberle Stafford; son, Scott (Carolyn) Griffith; grandchildren, Cassie Mann, Jill Griffith, and Nicole Griffith; and one great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Terry Chaney. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at St. Charles Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Also, a memorial calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, on the 2nd floor at Georgetowne Place, 1717 Maplecrest Road.
