Connie I. Zuber

In her younger years, Connie enjoyed fishing, dancing, and playing bingo. As time went on, she found happiness in caring for her home and spending peaceful early summer mornings working in her yard. She took great pride in maintaining her home and always appreciated the beauty in the simple things around her.

Connie began each day with a cup of coffee, with cream, and DO NOT forget the cream!

She loved to sew and was known for her patience and kindness. Above all, Connie loved her family unconditionally. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Connie was born on June 19, 1948, to the late Frank H. Roberts and Vera I. Roberts.

She is survived by her children, Bruce M. Sawvel, Julie D. Reynolds, Pamela S. (Michael) Harrah, and Jill E. (Sean) Hurley; her grandchildren, Austin, Jessica, Michael, Nathan, Payton, Ava, Evey, Lan, and Elle; her great-grandson, Mikey; her siblings, Bob Roberts and Candace Lauber; her special sister-in-law, Vickie; and many loving nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, John Roberts, Richard Roberts, Judith Christen, and Morris Roberts.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46835, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Guests are invited to wear pink in honor of Connie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Fund or to any organization that supports the poor or underprivileged.
