Dee M. Beavans, 85, of Orange City, Florida passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024. He was born on August 20, 1938 in Warren, Indiana, a son of the late Lester and Aubrey (Clark) Beavans. Dee served in the U.S. Army. He spent his career operating Beavans Construction Company. He also spent much of his time working on the family farm. Surviving family include his wife, Jane Beavans; son, Chris Beavans; daughters, Donna (Steve) Geisel and Brenda (Paul) Birch; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy (Harold) Sills; sister-in-laws, Bernadine Beavans and Irma Beavans; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his brothers, Morris, David, and Hubert Beavans; and sister, Norma Berry. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46835 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
