Della M. Flores

Della M. Flores, 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025. She was born on September 15, 1943, in Oneida, Kentucky and graduated from Clay County High School class of '61 in Manchester, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Ruth (Jervis) Wagers. She began working in the Fort Wayne area at Lincoln Life Insurance Company before spending 24 years at the Allen County Building Department. She also spent 32 years as the co-owner of JD Sound Revue along with her husband. She was a life-long member of Faith United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne and more recently a member at Grace Pointe Church, Fort Wayne. She will be remembered for her enjoyment of all types of word puzzles as well as being a huge music fan. Surviving family include her son, Bryan Flores (Lupita Lule); grandson, Zachary Flores; brother, Ezra Wagers; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Della was preceded in passing by her husband, Joe Flores; daughter, Delena Flores; sisters, Donna Hoskins, and Alema Harris; and brother, Freddy Wagers. A funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne, Ohio. Memorials in Della's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
