Dennis R. Gouker

Dennis R. Gouker, 81, a native of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on April 20, 1940, he was the son of the late Mary Elizabeth (nee Miller) and the late Marvin J. Gouker.

Dennis graduated from North Side High School. He retired from International Harvester after over 28 years of service and worked for CarpetOne during the Harvester move from Fort Wayne. He was a Mason and Shriner. Denny was a member of the Hot Chili Rods Car Club in Cape Coral and a member of the St. Joe Athletic Club in Fort Wayne. He loved NHRA and NASCAR and was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.

Surviving are his son, Eric Gouker; four grandchildren, Christy (Pratt) Hinds, Matt (Ashley) Gouker, Stephanie Burnworth and Kevin Wilson; six great-grandchildren, Lilly, Luke, Lacey, Sophia, Hudson and Luna; sisters, Joyce Chaney and Judy (Jim) Glenn; several nieces and nephews, Todd, Brian, Kirk Dawn Lori, Beth, Chad, Kelly, Mark, Jeff John, and Julie. Dennis was also preceded in death by his brothers, Terry and Larry; and his daughter, Christina.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home (6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne), with visitation an hour prior to the service. Visitation will also take place at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
