Born December 31, 1947, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Noah E. and Martha J. (Slaughter) Gibson. Diann graduated from North Side High School, class of 1965.
After graduation, she worked as a Phlebotomist with the American Red Cross for over five years. She later transitioned to a Lab Technician with Allen Dairy where she was employed for over 15 years. From there, she was a Lab Technician with Dr. Patel Naresh for over 20 years.
Diann treasured her three sons and loved her West Highland Terriers. She enjoyed playing cards and games with her family and having them over for dinner. Diann was crafty and enjoyed knitting, sewing, painting and decorating.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Kelli Farrell) Trahin of Fort Wayne and Keith “Scott” Redden of Big Pine, Calif.; five grandchildren, Adrian, Thomas, Lauren, Taylor, and Jessica; one great-granddaughter; and brother, Noah “Ed” Gibson of Orlando, Fla.
She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Lew Mathias in 2008; son, Sean Redden; and brother, Daniel Gibson.
