DOLORES A. SCHMIDT, 87, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Provena Sacred Heart Home, Avilla. Born Dec. 1, 1924 in Fort Wayne, she was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church. Surviving are her sons, Gerald A. (Pamela) Schmidt of LaOtto, James l. Schmidt of Folsom, Calif., Kenneth R. Schmidt of Castro, Calif.; grandchildren, Carrie (Eric) Rupley, Amee Gullett, Jessica Schmidt and Nathan Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Mia, Brooklyn, Atalie, Kennedy and Auarie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Schmidt who died in 2008; parents, Luke & Sophia Majorki Sr.; and a brother, Luke Majorki Jr. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd. with calling one hour before. Rev. Father Andrew Budzinski officiating. Visitation also 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd. Burial in Highland Park Cemetary. Preferred memorials to Provena Sacred Heart Home, Avilla, Ind.
