Donald Bruick

Donald Bruick, 85, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021. He was born in New Haven, IN on December 7, 1935, a son of the late Arthur and Theresa Bruick. Donald worked as a brick and stone mason. Don and his wife made doll houses, for which they won several ribbons at the Allen County and State Fairs. He and his wife also played in various bands in their retirement. Donald very much enjoyed WWII era aircraft, collecting teddy bears, and playing cards with family and friends. He is survived by his children; Deborah (Ken) (Bruick) Haenftling, and Douglas Rex (Susie) Bruick; grandchildren, Staughton (Kim) Wade, Kerry Haenftling, Spencer Wade, Miranda (David) Cablk, Audrey (Lantz) Kulp, Alex Bruick, Ketmany (Paul) Brumbaugh, and Anna Bruick; great-grandchildren, Ronin and Kiernin Wade, Leo and Emma Kulp, and Oshea Cablk. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Ruth (Fultz) Bruick; brother, Melvin Bruick; and sister, Kathleen (Bruick) Sivits. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (7710 East State Blvd, Fort Wayne), with visitation one hour prior.
