

DONALD N. COCHREN, 90, of Athens, Ohio, formerly of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in Athens. Born June 17, 1922, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Harry and Goldie Cochren. He served in the Army during World War II; was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, American Legion Post 296 and V.F.W. Post 857. He retired in 1979 as a mechanic from Transport Motor Express. Surviving are his daughter, Linda (Hugh) Richardson of Athens; son, Daniel (Nancy) Cochren of White City, Ore.; grandchildren, Adam (Jo) Richardson of Boulder, Colo., Daniel (Julie) Richardson of Columbus, Ohio, Joshua Richardson of Athens and Noah Cochren of Phoenix, Ore; and great-grandson, Yuka Bo Richardson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Georgia, in 2000; and sister, Naomi Angel. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to Crossroads Children's Home or Salem United Church of Christ.
