Donald M. "Don" Connally, 80, of New Haven, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 6, 2025. He was born on September 3, 1944, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to the late Otis Connally and Opal (Hensley) Connally. Donald dedicated his life to hard work and service. He retired as head custodian at Whispering Meadows School and also served as an HVAC maintenance technician at the Memorial Coliseum before retiring. He is survived by his children, Robyn (Jerry) Grider of Fishers, Indiana, Scott (Kristina) Connally of Leo, Indiana, and Amber (Linn) Minnick of Fort Wayne, Indiana; he was a proud grandfather to Tristan, Cassidy, and Delaney Grider, Sam and Emma Connally, and Cadence, Jacelyn, and Jaxson Minnick; his brother, Jamie Connally of Arlington, Texas; his brother-in-law, Deryll Zurcher; his sisters-in-laws, Kathy Wilson and Debbie Wilson; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Connally, and his son, Brian Matthew Connally. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 1:30 pm at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Don's grandchildren's educations.
