

He was born on December 12, 1940, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Martin E. Doehrman and Irma C. (Bremer) Doehrman. Donald spent his life in the Fort Wayne area. Don's career began at Maloley's where he became a skilled meat cutter. He worked at various other stores in the area and later became a state meat inspector until his retirement.
Donald proudly served his country in the National Guard. He valued hard work, family, and the simple joys of everyday life. Throughout his life, he was deeply devoted to his faith and spent countless hours studying the Word of God, which guided his character, strengthened his spirit, and shaped the way he lived and loved others. He also pursued some college education, always striving to better himself.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean E. (Wietfeldt) Doehrman, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children: Donald E. Doehrman, Vincent A. (Marcy) Doehrman, Christian J. (Jody) Doehrman, and Timothy J. (Jeanne) Doehrman; nine cherished grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Donald is further survived by his sister, Lois Doehrman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Lloyd Doehrman, Gerald Doehrman, and Carl Doehrman.
Funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46835, with calling from 10 am to 12 pm.
Burial will take place immediately following at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Donald will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, his quiet strength, and his steadfast faith that carried him throughout his life.
