

He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on July 12, 1927, a son of the late Ruth and Louis Karbach.
Donald worked as a brick mason until his retirement. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. In his spare time he enjoyed Lionel trains and fishing. Donald loved spending time with his grandchildren, having them help him with projects around the house, running trains with him, and making memories.
Surviving are his wife, Marcille (Bearman) Karbach; children, Larry (Cheryl) Karbach, Steven Karbach and Luann (Miles) Nitz; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruthann Etter.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Christman; sisters, Theresa Houser and Betty O'Day; brothers, Louis Karbach Sr., William Karbach, and Ralph Karbach Sr.; and grandson, Logan Blaising.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 12 pm with calling one hour prior at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
Visitation will be held from 2 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Ft Wayne, IN 46835.
Burial will take place in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
