Donald E. Pfeiffer, 87, died on January 2, 2014. Born in Fort Wayne on May 14, 1926. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Fort Wayne, where he served as a lay pastor for many years; he proudly served his country in the US Navy in WWII, and retired in 1975 from International Harvester.
He is survived by his daughters, Priscilla Bruce, Sandra Pfeiffer and Laura Pfeiffer; grandchildren, Philip (Amanda) Bruce, Cheryl (Eddie) Alcorth and Donald Bruce and four great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers. He was also preceded in death by his wife of over 65 years Betty Lou Pfeiffer; grandson, Delane Bruce.
Funeral service will be 11 AM Tuesday, January7, at First Assembly of God Church, 1400 W. Washington Blvd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 7 PM Monday January 6, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd. Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Covington Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to First Assembly of God Church, Men’s Ministry.
