Donna Jean Scherer, 77, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. She was born on March 31, 1945 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Carl and Gertrude (Hermann) Scherer. She worked as a title examiner for Commonwealth Dreibelbiss Title Company Inc. She was a member at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne as well as the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed bowling in her free time. Surviving family are her two nephews, Eric and Kevin Hixson; brother-in-law, Dennis; and many other family and friends. Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in passing by her sister, Gwendolyn Kay Hixson in April 2020. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 East State Boulevard, Fort Wayne with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior. Inurnment will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne at a later time. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
