Douglas Eugene Trim

Douglas Eugene Trim, 52, of Churubusco, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at his home. Born March 14, 1964 in Fort Wayne, he was the only son of Diane (Kinney) Smith of Fort Wayne and the late DeWayne Trim. Doug was a machinist and worked at Trelleborg Vibracoustic in Ligonier. He was a gentle, kind-hearted man who loved helping others. He enjoyed nature, animals and the simplicity of a bonfire with family and friends. Doug enjoyed working with his hands including activities such as wood-working, computers, and mechanics. He is also survived by his wife, Michelle (Foster) Trim of Fort Wayne; sons, Logan and Dylan Trim, both of Fort Wayne; step-mother, Carol Trim of Fort Wayne; sister, DeChelle (Donald) Rice of Fort Wayne and their children Mackenzie, Madeline and Malia; sister, Stephanie (Jason) Yearbury of Auckland, New Zealand and their children Kaiden, Kya and Ryker; father-in-law, Myron Foster of Fort Wayne; brother-in-law Steve Foster and his children Jeremy and Claire and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Marcy Ward; and mother-in-law, Carol Foster. Memorial Service will be 4:00pm on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior; Pastor Eric Dubach officiating. Inurnment at a later date at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Donor’s Choice.
