E. Lynn Gibson, 72, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Saint Anne Communities, Fort Wayne. He was born on December 14, 1953, in Marion, Illinois, a son of the late Ogal and Ivalene Gibson. Lynn primarily worked in the field of architecture and later enjoyed taking on consulting work. He was a longtime member of Grace Point Church of the Nazarene in Fort Wayne. In his free time, Lynn enjoyed hiking and camping, especially exploring the mountains of Tennessee. He was also an avid sports fan and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams, including the Indianapolis Colts, University of Illinois basketball, and St. Louis Cardinals. Surviving family include his wife, Linda Gibson; sons, Christopher (Elizabeth) Gibson and Jeremy (Joanna) Gibson; grandchildren, Lauren, Danielle, and Greyson; brother, Thomas (Faye) Gibson; niece, Amy Gibson; and nephew, Michael (Anne) Gibson. A funeral service celebrating Lynn's life will be 11:00 am on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 8611 Mayhew Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am, all at the church. Lynn will be laid to rest in Leo Cemetery, Leo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkview Hospice, 1900 Carew Street, Suite 6, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46805. These donations will be used to purchase ceramic handprint kits for other hospice families.
