Eileen V. Weber

Eileen Virginia Weber, 101, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, a life-long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, died Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Heritage Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She volunteered as secretary at St. Paul’s Lutheran School, was a member of The Altar Guild, Ladies Aid, and sang in the choir for 40 years. She sang professionally on WLS radio stations in Chicago with The Three Shades Trio prior to marriage. She worked until retirement at the IPFW Library. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn; daughter, Cindy (Larry) Ashbaugh; son, David (Joan) Weber; daughter-in-law, Sara Weber; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Victor; son, Richard S.; sister, Dorothy Schneider; and brother, Richard Doerfler. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1126 Barr Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802, with visitation one hour prior. A visitation will also be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Eileen will be laid to rest in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
