Elaine Thomas, of Fort Wayne, passed away at Grand Brook Memory Care in Fishers on Friday, June 24, 2022. She was born in Fort Wayne to the late Edwin F. and Lucille (Egly) Meyer. Elaine graduated from Concordia High School in Fort Wayne. On March 9, 1952, She married Leslie J. Thomas, he preceded her in death in 2018. Elaine worked as an Executive Assistant for the Principal of Snider High School. She retired from Snider High School at age 83, having worked there since 1967. She leaves behind her daughters, Nan (Mimi Lengerich-Thomas) Thomas and Kim (Judy Ziegler) Thomas. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11 am at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 Saint Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the service at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
