Elsie J. Bolen, 61, of Fort Wayne, passed away on April 23, 2015. Born on October 19, 1953, in Chicago, she was a daughter of the late Stevie and Nancy Helton. She is survived by her children, Charles L. (Stephanie) Kimbrough, Stephan W. (Sheila) Shankle, James (Brytonie) Helton, Katherine I. (Douglas) Miller and Amanda J. Shankle; her companion John Pope; 13 grandchildren; and a host of brothers and sisters. She was also preceded in death by her husband Gene Bolen. Calling will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Monday April 27, at Chapel of Praise Holiness Church, 626 Spillson Ave, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Beckley, West Virginia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne.
