EVELYN J. BRAUN RUSSELL, 92, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at The Cedars, Leo, Ind. Born Aug. 11, 1919, in Fort Wayne, she was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Surviving is her son, William (Nancy) Braun of Oscoda, Mich.; daughters, Linda (James) Fletcher of Aurora, Ind., and Beth (Michael) Davis of Fort Wayne; step son, Michael (Carol) Russell of Fort Wayne; step daughters, Nancy (David) Latham of Fort Wayne and Jeanne (Loren) Marchall of Yoder, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-granchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Gladys Pfeiffer and Gertrude Nicolet both of Fort Wayne; brother, Jack Shipman of Calif. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Braun, who died in 1972; second husband, William Russell who died in 2008; parents, Harry and Ethel Shipman; eight brothers and sisters. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, corner of Trier and Reed Roads with viewing one hour prior. Rev. Father Jacob Meyer officiating. Visitation also 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd. with Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Entombment at Catholic Cemetary. Preferred memorials to Masses, Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. or Mad Anthonys Children's Hope House.
