FRANKLIN ELROY STRONG, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at his home. Born in Churubusco, he worked on the Nickel Plate Railroad for 10 years and Equipment of Fort Wayne for 17 years. Surviving are his wife, Anna (Gray) Strong; sons, Kenneth (Marion) Strong and Richard (Daisy) Strong; stepson, Rex Gray; stepdaughter, Pamela McCord; and grandchildren, Paige Thurston, Joseph Strong, Sher Jamison, Tim Miller, Will Miller, Anna Marie Gray, and Ben Gray. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary (Lochner) Strong. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial in Eel River Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Hope Alive.
