Gary Walter Jacob

GARY WALTER JACOB, 61, of Fort Wayne, died on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Born March 18, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Dorothy Jacob of Cincinnati and the late Walter Jacob. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the ABF Presidents Club, and received several awards from the company. He was an avid Bishop Dwenger football fan. Surviving are his wife, Cathy S.; daughters, Lisa (Brian) Stritmatter of Huntertown and Becca Jacob of Fort Wayne; son, Dr. Steven Gary (Christy) Jacob of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Erica, Andrew and Daniel Jacob; sisters, Cheryl (Kerry) Calahan of Harrison, Ohio and Debbie (Tim) Faselt of Cincinnati. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at the corner of Trier and Reed Roads, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Father Anthony Steinacker officiating. Calling also from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, blood may be donated in Gary's memory to the American Red Cross, memorial donations to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or Bishop Dwenger Athletic Fund.
