GLADYS J. PFEIFFER,88, born in Fort Wayne on JUly 28, 1925 , died on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at 12:27 a.m. "She was a wonderful mom." She was a homemaker and member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and was one of the founders of the Fort Wayne MDA. Surviving are her two daughters Diane Perez and Marlyn (Paul) Minick; son-in-law, Robert Kaiser; grandchildren, Lisa, Anita, Mark, Manuel Jr., Jodi, Jamie, and Rob; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Nicolet; and brother, Jack L. Shipman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edward W. Pfeiffer, in 2006; son, Eddie; daughter, Sandy Kaiser; son-in-law, Manuel Perez Sr.; five sisters; and four brothers. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1636 St. Mary's Ave. with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Handicapped Accessible) Pastor Russell Dewell officiating.
