H. Michael Houser

H. Michael Houser, 71, of Fort Wayne, passed away on February 13, 2016. Born on January 6, 1945, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Harold and Eleanor (nee Bower) Houser; a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne. He proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War; and was retired from both GTE and the City of Fort Wayne Lighting Department.

He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Patricia (nee Groman) Houser; children, Julie (Eric) Whicker, Angela (Brian Raatz) Houser and Chad (Christa) Houser; sister, Sandra (Dave) Fulton; grandchildren, Ashley, Summar, Emily, Ty, Carsyn, Caden and Cannen; and two nephews.

Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, February 17, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Ave, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Tuesday February 16, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Inurnment will be in Marion National Cemetery, at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to Cancer Services of Allen County or the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Wayne.
