HELEN R. GARMAN, 95 of Spencerville, died on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 at The Cedars, Leo. Born Dec. 3, 1916 in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Flavel and Mary Griswold. She was a secretary, retiring from Leo High School. She was a member of Leo United Methodist Church and Leo Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are her daughter, Rebecca (Steven) Bolyard of Spencerville; son, Jerrald (Gwen) Garman of Bloomfield; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, R. Stanley, in 2011; sons, James and Richard Garman; sisters, Alma Brunner, Florence Maxfield and Ellen Hicks. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at Leo United Methodist Church, Leo, with calling two hours prior. The Rev. David Heim officiating. Burial in Leo Memorial Cemetery, Leo.
