

Helen M. Kohlmeier, 93, of Fort Wayne, passed away on October 31, 2015, at Lutheran Life Villages, Fort Wayne. Born on May 7, 1922, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late F.W. and Harriet Kespohl, a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, a 1940 graduate of South Side High School, and retired from Central Soya after several years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, George M. Kohlmeier; children, Lee A. (Tonja Wheaton) Kohlmeier, Dale E. (Deborah) Kohlmeier and Joyce E. (Mark) Geise; grandchildren, Niklaus (Lindsey) Kohlmeier, Nathan (Natasha) Kohlmeier, Kristin (Tony) Canul, Bart (Katie) Geise, Erin (Luke) Stark and Zachary (Angela) Kohlmeier; two great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren on the way. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Rev. Herman Kespohl, William Kespohl, Elinor Porath and Ruth Mesing.
Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, November 5, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 S. Anthony Blvd, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 6 to 8pm Wednesday, November 4, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Worship-for-Shut-ins or Lutheran Life Villages. The family would like to thank the staffs of Heartland Hospice and Lutheran Life Villages for the excellent care given to Helen.
