Herbert L. "Herb" Schinnerer

Herbert L. “Herb” Schinnerer, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away on May 9, 2015. Born on May 2, 1929, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Gerhardt and Lillian Schinnerer. A member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, for over 50 years, a 1947 graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School, he proudly served his country in the Army and owned and operated Grewe Contracting until closing in 1990. “Herb was a loving husband, father and grandfather.” He is survived by his wife, Eloise (Bradbury) Schinnerer; children, Keith (Jean) Schinnerer), Kathi (John) Renie, Kenton (Brenda) Schinnerer and Kerry (Edward) Hirschy; grandchildren, Adam (Parul), Erica (Kyle), Jonathon, David and Kacy; great grandchildren, Calvin and Veronica and sister, Ruth Gaunt. Funeral service is 11:30 am , Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church 3425 Crescent Ave. Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Pastor Mark Neubacher officiating. Calling is also from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday May 13, at the church. In lieu of flowers preferred memorials may be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or CLHS Educational Foundation.
