JOAN L. McMAHAN, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Wood view Health Care. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was born in Harlan, Ind. on March 18, 1926. She is survived by daughter Cindy (Timothy) Neff of Fort Wayne; sons, Randy (Kathy) McMahan of Woodburn and Rick McMahan of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe (Larett) Sommer of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. McMahan; daughter, Cathy McMahan. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour before service. Memorials to Heartland Hospice.
