John Kenneth Cox, 62, of Huntington, passed away on Nov. 9, 2014 at home. Born in Wabash, Ind., he was the son of the late Oren & Betty (Harris) Cox. John graduated from Huntington North High School and also served in the Navy for three years as a Marine Mechanic during the Vietnam era. He worked for 12 years as an assembler for Fort Wayne Fleet. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed wood craving, hunting, trapping and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Wilkinson) Cox of Huntington; son, Jeremy Cox (Hannah Vanhoozen) of South Whitley; daughter, Lisa Cox of Huntington, Dawn Saunders (Adam Stuart) of Decatur; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tonya Prough. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road with visitation two hours prior to the service. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
