JOHN J. KANE, SR., 71, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Parkview Hospital. Born in Scranton, Pa., he served honorably in the National Guard Reserves and was retired from Valspar Paints. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Norma; sons, John J. (Paige) Kane, Jr. and Jeffrey W. (Teresa) Kane, both of Carmel, Ind.; and grandchildren, Phoebe, Hallie, Brodie and Duncan. Service is 3 p.m. Friday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with visitation one hour prior to service.
