Joseph David Hooker Jr., 63, of Garrett, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home. Born May 28, 1955 in Chicopee, Mass., he attended Fort Wayne Bible College and was a member of Living Waters Community Church, Garrett. He was employed with Bradbury Construction for several years and was a freelance writer for many different survivalist magazines. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are his parents, Joseph Sr. and Alice (Kandis) Hooker of Fort Wayne; daughters, Montana (Tom) Crago, Heidi Augsburger, Josie (Stan) Casebere, and Cassandra Jo “C.J.” Hooker; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and siblings, James Hooker of Monroeville, Margy Hooker of Fort Wayne, Robert (Tammie) Hooker of Roanoke, Debra (Thomas) Hall of Fort Wayne, and John “Rick” (Karen) Hooker of Atlanta, Ga. Funeral Service will be 1:00pm on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Living Waters Community Church, 711 S. Randolph St., Garrett, with calling two hours prior. Pastor Brett Stilwell officiating.
