JUDY KAY BARNHART, 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, with her family by her side. Born Aug. 28, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Cloyd and Mary (Hughes) Counterman. "She was a great mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by many". Surviving are her children, Scott (Michelle Gumbert) Cotton, Kevin Barnhart, and Rhonda (Kerry) Smith, all of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and best friend, Bobbie Ann (William) Hughes of Fort Wayne. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dixie Creager; and grandson, Adam Mendenhall. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
