Junetta E. Pitcher Henry

JUNETTA E. HENRY, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011, at St. Anne Home. She graduated from North Side High School in 1946 and International Business College in 1948. She worked for People's Trust, Adams & Walda and retired from Nitecki, Smith & Walker in 1990. She loved to knit and sew, she made afghans for many relatives and friends. In 2001 she became an alzheimers victim. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and belonged to their Rosary Society. She volunteered for Marions, The Head Start Program and Catholic Social Services. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, John J. Henry Sr.; daughter, Annette Edwards of South Bend; son, John J. (Andrea) Henry Jr. of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Robert Dickmeyer of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Nadine Pitcher and sister, Mary Jane Dickmeyer. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to masses or Gebualt.
